Frequently Asked Questions

What does Stubb do?

Stubb scans your business receipts, reads the vendor, amount, date, and tax category automatically, and keeps everything organized and backed up so you're ready when it's time to file.

Does Stubb file my taxes for me?

No — Stubb organizes your expense records and gives you a clean export (PDF or CSV) to hand to yourself or your accountant. It doesn't file returns or give tax advice.

What happens after my free trial ends?

You're automatically charged for the plan you started (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can check exactly when you'll be charged anytime from Account > Manage subscription.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, depending on your device, so you can cancel or change plans anytime from your device's store account or from Account > Manage subscription in the app.

Is my data backed up?

Yes — every expense and receipt photo is synced to the cloud as soon as you save it, tied to your account, not your phone. If you get a new device, just sign back in.

What if the AI misreads a receipt?

You always review and can edit every field before it's saved — vendor, amount, date, and category are never saved automatically without your confirmation.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes, scanning and reading a receipt requires an internet connection. You can still view previously saved expenses with a weak or no connection.

Does Stubb need my bank account?

No. Stubb never connects to your bank or card accounts — every expense comes only from a receipt you capture yourself.

How do I get my data out for my accountant?

Go to Account > Export all data for a CSV of every expense, or use the Export tab for a filtered PDF/CSV summary by date range.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account > Delete account in the app, or see our account deletion instructions. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after 30 days — signing back in during that window restores everything.
